My story
Hi! I’m Linda, the founder of MARA Fertility Acupuncture Clinic, and it’s so lovely to meet you.
If you’ve landed on this page, you’ve probably found yourself in a situation that you don’t want to be in.
When our bodies aren’t working as they should, it can be a lonely, stressful time, I know – I’ve been there myself, you’re not alone.
Over 17 years ago, in the beginning stages of my Acupuncturist training, my husband and I decided to start a family, but the months went by and I got no positive pregnancy tests.
When nothing was happening, I suddenly felt desperate, and began researching for ways to boost fertility, only to find too many empty promises and downright lies.
And everyone around me told me, “just relax, and it’ll happen”. They meant well, but this only made me feel more stressed and alone.
Until you’re struggling to conceive, people just don’t understand…
After much research, and trying everything, I finally came to the truth: my best shot at boosting fertility was getting my body and mind in the best shape possible for conception.
Now, that didn’t mean hitting the treadmill and quitting my job. It was about taking control of the areas that influence ferttility to set up the conditions that allow pregnancy to happen.
By taking control of areas that influence fertility, which are: stress, diet, exercise, sleep, and my environment – I finally got things moving in the right direction.
I made lifestyle changes and started acupuncture treatments. The results? Less stress, improved menstrual cycle, better sleep, and more energy. Then I finally got pregnant!
Unfortunately though, I had an early miscarriage – devastating, but at least I now knew I could get pregnant, and that my new lifestyle upgrades were working.
So I kept working on upgrading myself, and not long after, I was pregnant again! This time, it stuck. My first daughter was born, and I’m now grateful to be a mother to 3 fantastic, healthy children.
Helping other women have their own family is why I decided I wanted to share all this knowledge, specialise in fertility acupuncture and open up my clinic.
Now, almost 20 years later, I’ve helped thousands of women from all over Ireland take back control of thier lives and futures with science-backed fertility acupuncture treatments and lifestyle changes.
And I don’t just help women trying to conceive naturally, I also support women throughout IVF and thier pregnancies too. And I now also help alleviate the symptoms of menopause.

Career history
I’ve been practising Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Meditation, Mindfulness and Feng Shui in Ireland for nearly two decades. During that time I have genuinely specialised and only treated Reproductive issues.
Recognising the benefits of reducing the stress of fertility issues, and upgrading lifestyle areas, I’ve pioneered the creation of a holistic mind and body fertility programme, the path to pregnancy.
I’ve undergone fertility training under renowned Fertility Acupuncture & IVF experts like Zita West and have deepened my acupuncture practice with international leaders in the field of Reproductive Medicine.
I have been authorised to administer acupuncture treatments onsite in IVF clinics in Ireland such as SIMS.
I have dedicated my clinic to helping women get pregnant. And it is my privilege to help women with the personal, private and confidential issue of fertility.
