If you are looking for Fertility Prayers, look no further, here you will find:
⦁ a list of fertility prayers for conception of a child as well as
⦁ all the words to these popular fertility prayers.
Many couples use fertility prayer to get pregnant as a number of Saints are said to help with fertility. A lot of people say these prayers for themselves, but a few of these prayers, like the St. Gerard Prayer & St. Rita prayer, can also be said by caring family members or friends of those trying to conceive. Some of my patients have even had large groups saying these prayers for them. Throughout the years many of my patients have mentioned how they believe that fertility prayer has helped them to conceive and at the very least to gain a sense of calmness, peace and reduce feelings of stress, which is always beneficial to setting up the conditions that will allow pregnancy to happen.
*update in lieu of the Covid-19 Pandemic: Many couples have found themselves spending a lot more time at home these days due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Experts are even predicting a “baby boom” starting 9 months after the lockdowns & stay at home orders. Give these fertility prayers a go and see what happens.
The following fertility prayers are mostly Christian and Catholic prayers to get pregnant. I have also added in the answer to the question, “Is there a Jewish prayer for infertility?”. I will add in more fertility prayers from other faiths very soon, so please do check back. Have a look at the list along with the words to the Christian and Catholic fertility prayers below and see what resonates with you.
1. St.Gerard fertility prayer for conception (Saint Gerard is known as a Catholic Saint of Fertility)
O glorious St. Gerard, powerful intercessor before God, and wonder worker of our day, I call upon you and seek your help. You who always fulfilled God’s will on earth, help those desiring to conceive to do God’s holy will. Intercede with the Giver of Life from whom all parenthood proceeds, that they may conceive and raise children who will please God in this life and be heirs to the Kingdom of Heaven. Amen.
2. St. Rita fertility prayer to conceive a baby (Saint Rita is known as a Catholic Saint of Fertility)
Portrait painting of St. Rita wearing nun’s clothesGlorious St. Rita, O holy patroness of those in need, your intercession with our Lord is most powerful. Through the favors obtained by your prayers, you have been called the Advocate of the Hopeless and even of the Impossible. St. Rita, humble and pure; patient and compassionate lover of Christ Crucified! We have confidence that everyone who has recourse to you, will find comfort and relief. Listen to our petitions and show your power with God on our behalf. Obtain our petitions for us, if they are for the greater glory of God, and for our good. We promise, if our petitions are granted, to make known your favor, and to glorify God for His gift. Relying on your merits and power before the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we ask of you (here mention your request). Obtain for us our Request by the singular merits of thy childhood,
by thy perfect union with the Divine Will, by thy heroic sufferings during thy married life, by the consolation thou didst experience at the conversion of thy husband, by the sacrifice of thy children rather than see them grievously offend God, by thy miraculous entrance into the convent, by thy severe penances and thrice daily bloody scourgings, by the suffering caused by the wound thou didst receive from the thorn of the Crucified Savior,
by the divine love which consumed thy heart, by that remarkable devotion to the Blessed Sacrament, on which alone thou didst exist for four years,
by the happiness with which thou didst part from thy trials to join thy Divine Spouse, by the perfect example thou gavest to people of every state of life. Pray for us, O holy St. Rita, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Let us Pray. Heavenly Father! In Your infinite love and mercy, you heed the prayer of Your beloved servant, Saint Rita. You graciously grant favors through her intercession, which are considered impossible to human foresight, skill and efforts. Relying on her compassionate love, we ask You to assist us in our trials and difficulties. Let unbelievers know that you are recompense helper of the humble, the defense of the helpless, and the strength of those who trust in You. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

4. Is there a Jewish fertility prayer?
Answer excerpt below by Chaya Sarah Silberberg, taken from her website.
“Very often, the Rebbe would advise people in your situation to be meticulous in the observance of the laws of Family Purity. If you have not yet committed to observing this mitzvah, now is a perfect time to do so. If you do observe the laws, perhaps it’s time for a refresher course. Either way, your local rabbi and rebbetzin will be able to assist you in this matter.
While there is no specific prayer or blessing that addresses your situation, there are three special times for a woman to pray for children:
1) After she immerses in the mikvah, as per the mitzvah of Family Purity, while she is still in the water.
2) After she lights the Shabbat or Jewish holiday candles and recites the blessing, while she is still covering her eyes.
3) While she is making challah.”

Nurture and Protect Fertility Prayer:
Dear God of Goodness and Grace, Hold us close. We’re sad and hopeful, anxious and excited, longingly waiting for the moment of conception. May it be Your will that the life of our child begins soon. Choose the best from us both to form a new soul. Place it ever so gently in my womb where I will nurture and protect the precious gift of life I am about to receive. Amen.
Fruit of The Womb Fertility Prayer:
Father, we thank You that children are the heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is His reward. Children are Your idea, Father; You thought up children, and family, and home. You instituted the family in the Garden of Eden. You ordered children; You commanded them when You said to Adam and Eve, “Be fruitful and multiply.” You said that the barren womb is never satisfied. Lord, the Word declares that I am wonderfully and fearfully made by You; therefore, I’m perfect and able to conceive and have children. Please give me the opportunity to carry out this blessing and use this magically gift to create my own family.
